Panel meter SD8V
The regulator performs the function of a panel indicator (V version) that allows precise control of measured parameters in industrial processes. The purpose of the device is to work with sensors having voltage or current outputs. Thanks to the use of the SD8 meter it is possible to quickly convert the signal to the values needed in production, e.g. units of length (mm,cm),pressure or speed. The device has functions to tune itself to the input signal range(auto-calibration). Built-in two relay alarm outputs (alarm high,low,IN,OUT). Built-in large easy-to-read top display and auxiliary display showing measurement unit or alarm setpoint.

Scaling of the input signal
With the scaling function, it is possible to convert the input signal into corresponding quantities. When using the HT-R series float resistor sensor, the output resistance varies from 0 -190 Ohm. The meter allows the conversion of the value read from the sensor to arbitrarily declared values, for example, tank fill level (0-100%) or float position level (0-500mm). The device allows you to convert the reading values into user-convenient measurements.

Auto-calibration
Auto-calibration of the device to the input signal range (example for a sensor signal in the range of 0 ~ 10 VDC.The result converted linearly from 0 to 3000.
- Step 1 : InP parameter - input signal type 0~10 V signal.
- Step 2 : Menu 2 SCK =33. Parameter CAL- set the input signal with the minimum value of the range , in the example the value 0V.
- Step 3 : Menu 2 SCK =33. Parameter CAH- set the input signal with the maximum value of the range, in the example the value is 10 V.
- Step 4 : Parameter FH- display value for the maximum signal value (in the example, the signal value is 10 V).Set the value 3000.
- Step 5 : FL parameter - the displayed value for the minimum signal value (in the example, the signal value is 0 V).We set the value 0.

Alarms

Low alarm with hysteresis - L
Example: AD1=L
AL1=200
HY1=20
The meter will turn off the alarm at the reading value 200+20 =220.When the value decreases, the alarm will turn off at the value 200.

High alarm with hysteresis - H
Example: AD1=H
AL1=200
HY1=20
Meter will turn on alarm at reading value 200.Hysteresis by value 20 will cause at decrease of value alarm will turn off at value 200 - 20 = 180.

Internal alarm with hysteresis - Int
Example: AD1=Int
AL1=200
ALH1= 240
HY1=10
The meter will turn on the alarm at the reading value from 200 to 240. Hysteresis of 10 will cause the alarm output to be turned on in the range 190 ~ 250 when the reading value decreases and increases.

External alarm with hysteresis - oUt
Example: AD1=oUt
AL1=200
ALH1= 240
HY1=10
The meter will turn on the alarm at the reading value from 200 to 240. Hysteresis of 10 will cause the alarm output to be turned off in the range 210 ~ 230 when the reading value decreases and increases.

Example of application
A system for controlling the liquid level in a tank using an SD8V controller and an HT-R sensor (resistance float sensor). Measuring the liquid level in a tank for water, oil, etc.
In this episode, we demonstrate the operation of our liquid level measurement kit. It includes the SD8V meter/regulator and the HT-R series stainless steel float resistance sensor. The kit allows you to display the current status and maintain the level within the set range.Compared to traditional float sensors, in this case you only need one sensor and controller which reduces the cost of the project. In addition, two available alarm outputs, and the function of converting units to millimeters, liters, etc. gives you the opportunity to customize the set to your needs.

The controller can be used for DPPL tanks also known as: IBC, pallet container, tank pallet, palletcontainer, pallet tank, or Mauser, Schutz and Mamor.
When combined with the HTR-1000 sensor, it can serve as a set for automatic liquid level control.
