Description

PID control module

Moduł sterujący PID
pic PID control module

Ready-to-use module designed for precise temperature maintenance in a wide range of 0-400C. Installation requires no electrical knowledge. Just attach the sensor connect the actuator (e.g. heater, unit) to the control output and start working. In addition, there are two independent alarm outputs AL1 AL2 for use. Sensor included. The PID module includes the following components:

  • PID temperature controller
  • Termipol SSR 25 A relay
  • 24A heat sink
  • Temperature sensor
  • Power cable
  • Waterproof housing

Designed to work with injection molding machines, extruders, heating tunnels, heating chambers, soldering stations, packaging machines, welding machines, etc. as well as cooling equipment. Works with temperature sensors and thermocouples - Pt100, J,K,E,S,T,B. Temperature control range up to 2000°C

Series controllers are designed for mounting in control cabinets or switchboards. To mount the controller in the cabinet, use the included mounting hardware.

Modern solution of temperature regulation in these machines - this is the basic parameter of a correct production process.

PID control

PID regulation is used for accurate temperature control without the task of hysteresis (deviation). The control here is done by pulse actuation of the control output, in this case it is advisable to use SSR (Solid State Relay) relays, which are not sensitive to frequent switching.

What is PID?

Auto-tuning function

The regulator has an auto-tuning function, which is activated only once after the regulator is installed in a machine or furnace. It consists in the fact that the controller selects the PID values by itself in order to maintain the set temperature as optimally and accurately as possible. The PID parameters can also be changed manually. The controller can maintain the temperature on the extruder with an accuracy of 0.1°C.

Types of Alarm

The controller has 7 different alarm modes (over-temperature, under-temperature, relative and absolute alarming, temperature range). You can set the alarm so that it will not start the machine when it is still underheated, or the machine will shut down in case of uncontrolled overheating.

rH Top alarm with standby state
Example: The controller will sound an alarm when the temperature rises to 28°C (25°C+3°C) and stop the alarm when the temperature drops to 27°C (25°C+3°C-1°C).

rL Lower alarm with standby condition
Example: The controller will sound an alarm when the temperature drops to 22°C (25°C-3°C) and stop the alarm when the temperature rises to 23°C (25°C-3°C+2°C).

AH Top alarm
Example: The controller will sound an alarm when the temperature rises to 30°C and stop the alarm when the temperature drops to 29°C (30°C-2°C).

AL Lower alarm
Example: The controller will activate the alarm when the temperature drops to 23°C and stop the alarm when the temperature rises to 24°C (27°C-1°C).

HL Upper-bottom alarm
Example: The controller will sound an alarm when the temperature drops below 23°C or rises above 27°C. The alarm will stop when the temperature rises above 24°C or falls below 26°C.

ULd Upper-bottom alarm range
Example: The controller will turn on the alarm when the temperature is in the range of 22°C (25°C-3°C) to 28°C (25°C+3°C) and turn off the alarm when the temperature is out of the range - below 20°C (25°C-3°C-2°C) and above 30°C (25C°+3°C+2C°).

Timer alarm

Transmit series controllers have timer functions. The alarm can be replaced by a countdown timer. After specifying the time in minutes (on a scale of 1 to 6000 minutes in 1 minute increments), the regulator will count down the time and report the alarm by shorting the alarm contacts in the relay. This is mainly used in furnaces, where the temperature needs to be maintained for a certain period of time and then the furnace is turned off and cooled down.
