Optical sensors

They are used to detect objects distant from the sensor.They work on the principle of reflection of a laser light wave sent by the sensor and detection by a detector often located in the housing itself . The application of this type of sensors is, for example, to protect protective zones around working machines or detection of production element distant from the sensor.

  • Reflective sensors

    <p>Sensors with a reflective element, reflector are also characterized by a long detection range ( up to 10 m). They work on the principle - the object is picked out when the light beam between the sensor and the reflector is interrupted. The emitter and detector are housed in a single housing.</p>
  • Diffusion sensors

    Diffusion sensors

    <p>Diffusion sensors have an emitter and a detector built into a single housing. The emitter sends out a light beam (pulsed infrared radiation, visible red light or laser light), which propagates to fill the detection zone. When an object is in this zone and reflects some of the radiation sent by the sensor then detection occurs and the output changes state.</p>
