Capacitive Sensor C12-N

Capacitive sensors can be used to detect metal objects as well as objects made of almost any other material such as liquids, wood, paper, plastics, sand, and glass. These sensors are often used to detect the level or control the intensity of flow of liquids, granular and powdery materials. Capacitive proximity sensors react to the approach of ANY material (medium) to the active surface (sensor field). The capacitance of the capacitor depends on the material through which the electric field passes. The sensor detects the approach of any material whose dielectric constant is different from the air constant.

Application

  • Detection of liquid presence in a metal tank with a plastic or glass viewing window.
  • Detection of bottle filling.
  • Continuity detection of paper.
  • Detecting the presence of paper on the stack.

Proximity Sensors | Types, Principle of Operation

Proximity sensors detect the presence of objects or indicate their absence using an electromagnetic field, light or sound. There are many types that are dedicated to specific, often very specific industrial or home applications.   Inductive sensors https://termipol.pl/category/baza-strona-glowna-czujniki-zblizeniowe   Photo: Inductive Sensor  Such non-contact sensors detect objects made of... PNP and NPN Sensors | Short Description

We will use an example that will help understand the differences between PNP and NPN. Controlling a traditional relay with a 24 VDC coil. PNP - After the sensor is triggered, we get a PLUS signal at the output, e.g. +24 VDC NPN - After the sensor is triggered, we get a MINUS signal, 0, GND at the output. Most of the sensors that can be found on the market today (inductive sensors, capacitive... More
