Resistive Liquid Level Sensor HT-R-250

The float level sensor allows for precise measurement of the liquid level in the tank. The sensor works on the principle of variable resistance (0~190 Ω), which changes with the position of the float. A permanent magnet is built into the float, whose magnetic field activates the resistance measurement chain built into the tube. The measured resistance signal is proportional to the level. The sensor is designed for use in water, oil, fuel and other liquids.

Application

Dedicated meters for sensors are: meter/regulator level with two alarm outputs SD8V from Termipol and analog level indicator GM-53 available in our store. Thanks to the connection of the measuring result display devices and the sensor, it is possible to continuously control the level using one sensor. The sensors can be used in drinking water, industrial water, oils, fuels, coolants, and feces.

Example of application

Video - Liquid Level Control in Tank with Resistance Sensor.

In this episode we present the operation of our liquid level measuring set. It consists of a meter/regulator SD8V and a float resistance sensor of the HT-R series made of stainless steel. The set allows for displaying the current state and maintaining the level within the set range. Compared to traditional float sensors, in this case only one sensor and regulator is needed, reducing the project costs. Additionally, two available alarm outputs and the unit conversion function to millimeters, liters, etc. allows for customizing the set to your needs.

Maintaining the liquid level in a tank is an important task in many industrial processes. This animation and schematic show how a resistive sensor (HT-R) and a panel meter (SD8T) can be used to maintain the liquid level in a tank. The mounting of the HT-R-250 resistive sensor flange is also shown.
